Rivendell Joe Appaloosa Lime-Olive (51 cm) - Customer Build

After a long wait and a lot of planning, we're happy to finally be building custom Rivendells again. Many of you know we became a Rivendell dealer several years ago, but everything paused while Rivendell reworked its dealer program to provide better availability and support. It was worth the wait.

Earlier this year, we began taking pre-orders and working one-on-one with customers to design bicycles built specifically for the way they ride. Taylor's Appaloosa was the first to roll off the line through this new process.

Taylor had been thinking about owning a Rivendell for a long time. Rather than rushing into the build, we spent several weeks talking over the phone, discussing the details and refining the parts selection until everything matched the kind of bike he had been imagining. That's one of the things we enjoy most about custom builds. There isn't a rush to choose parts off a shelf. Instead, the bicycle gradually takes shape through conversation and careful decisions.

When the build was finished, Taylor made the drive all the way from Colorado to pick it up. It's always rewarding to hand a bicycle directly to the person it was built for, especially after spending weeks working together to make sure every detail feels right. We hope this Appaloosa gives him many years of memorable rides and becomes the kind of bicycle that only gets better with time.
