IRD Polaris Crankset

Built for adventure, not the podium, the IRD Polaris Crankset is a versatile drivetrain solution designed for gravel riders, bikepackers, and long-distance touring cyclists who value durability, flexibility, and sensible gearing.

What makes the Polaris unique is its ability to adapt to different riding styles. Included in the kit is both a SRAM 3-bolt direct mount 1x chainring and a 110/74 BCD direct mount spider for 2x setups. Whether you prefer a single chainring or the wider gear range of a double, the Polaris gives you both options right out of the box.

For riders tackling mixed terrain and steep climbs, the included 42/26T chainrings provide a practical gearing combination that keeps you comfortably spinning on long climbs while maintaining enough top-end speed for fast gravel roads and pavement. A 38T 12-speed compatible 1x chainring is also included for those who prefer a cleaner, simpler drivetrain.

Cold-forged aluminum crank arms deliver excellent strength and durability, while the polished anodized finish is available in either classic silver or stealth black. The 24mm Chromoly spindle is compatible with Shimano HollowTech II-style bottom brackets, and the included external bearing bottom bracket fits both 68mm and 73mm threaded BSA shells.
